You must complete the SkillSelect Program if you intend to apply for an Australian visa under the GSM category. There are two parts to this online program: submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) and then filing a visa application.

 

Basic data that must be included with the EOI

Depending on the kind of visa you qualify for, you may need to submit an expression of interest and supply the necessary paperwork. But, the following details are some of the fundamental knowledge you’ll need to submit your EOI effectively.

  • basic details about the individual
  • Details about work experience
  • Qualification records Details about English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS)
  • Information about your successful skills evaluation in relation to your chosen profession

As of July 1, 2014, unless a shorter validity period is indicated on the assessment, a skills assessment that is required as part of a visa application will only be valid for three years from the date of issue.

 

For the following visas, a skills evaluation must be current at the time of liens.
  • The Employer Nominated Scheme (subclass 186) visa’s Direct Entry route.
  • The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) visa allows for entry into the country directly.
  • The Graduate Work stream is part of the Subclass 485 Temporary Graduate Visa.

 

When applying for the following visas and receiving an invitation, a skills evaluation must be current.
  • Independent Skilled (subclass 189) visa.
  • Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa.
  • Skilled regional (provisional) visa (subclass 489).

Nevertheless, the Temporary Work (Skilled) (subclass 457) visa is not affected by these modifications.

 

After obtaining the invitation from the expression of interest, the following five visas need to be requested for.
  • Permanent Business Talent Visa (subclass 132).
  • Visa subclass 188: Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional).
  • Independent Skilled Visa (subclass 189).
  • Vocational skill-based nomination (subclass 190).

Skilled – Temporary Nominated or Sponsored visa (subclass 489).
